Driving Lesson Terms

Cancellations and Payments

  • At least 24 hours notice is requested to cancel pre-booked driving lessons, or you will be required to pay for late cancellations.
  • All lessons are paid 48 hours in advance of the lesson date and time to ensure bank clearance.
  • The school reserves the right to amend driving lessons if we are unable to keep the appointment in the event of pre-booked driving tests, mechanical breakdown, sickness, pre-booked holidays or due to immovable traffic. All students with test dates upcoming take priority on lesson slots.
  • Lessons cancelled by instructor at short notice will be arranged at a time convenient to pupil at no extra cost.
  • Whilst endeavouring to be any time for lessons, instructor will make contact with pupil if they cannot be met within 10 minutes of scheduled time due to unforeseen circumstances. Full lesson time will be honoured if later, or be added to the next lesson if convenient.
  • The pupil pays for the use of the driving school car on test day, as per how long they have the car for, including during the test.
  • All clients will be contacted by the assigned instructor either by phone, email, WhatsApp or text before any lesson is confirmed and payments in advance are requested.

Behaviour

  • School cars are fitted with dual controls for your safety and other road users. Instructors will explain their use before lessons take place.
  • Instructor to conduct self in professional manner at all times, & whilst being able to refuse or end a lesson early, abide by the law, & not discriminate against any learner.
  • The school does not offer a hire car facility and school cars will only be permitted to be used if the instructor deems the student, safe, independent and responsible.
  • No smoking in the car at any time.
  • The school as required by the Road Traffic act has a zero alcohol and drugs policy. As these will seriously impede your ability to drive and may constitute a criminal offence. If the instructor has suspicions this may be the case they will terminate any lesson.
  • Instructor will provide relevant feedback, & update Driver Record after each lesson.
  • No 3rd parties allowed in the car at any time during lessons, thus allowing one to one training only.
  • Instructor shall provide a modern, properly maintained, dual-control vehicle for each lesson.
  • Before booking practical Driving Tests, an ADI reference number will be supplied to confirm the readiness of the student drivers ability for test and for use of the Driving School vehicles.
  • The student certifies that they are not taking any medication that would affect their ability to drive or have any health reasons that may affect their ability to
    drive & agree to notify the instructor of any changes to their health.
  • The student confirms they have no points on their driving licence & will inform the Instructor immediately if they accrue any.

I understand that Driving School, keeps personal client data in order to give out teaching material, for example for theory or lesson help. Driving school, also keeps names, address, mobile number, health details on their learner, & it is Not shared with any marketing third parties under any circumstances. Details will be kept for 5 years then destroyed
